The Busy Bee Band & Honeybees reprised their 2006 trip to New York City in May of 2010. The group traveled into New York City on May 29th and found themselves at CBS Studios for the Early Show on CBS. The band performed for the crowd of service personnel that gathered at CBS Studios for the Early Show before receiving a studio tour. After the tour was complete, the band traveled to the Hudson River for a performance aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid.

ABOARD THE U.S.S. INTREPID
No one can truly appreciate the enormity of an aircraft carrier until one climbs a three-story staircase to reach the landing deck of one of the most revered ships of World War II. The USS Intrepid is docked on the west side of Manhattan Island, in the Hudson River. To help preserve the dignity of that moment, the band performed The Armed Forces Salute - a medley of five service songs representing each branch of the United States Military. Servicemen and women of the 5 branches of the U.S. Military joined their respective flag, carried by a member of the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees, during their military service song.

Following lunch aboard the Intrepid, the group traveled to Rockefeller Center where they were treated to a unique view of New York City at the "Top of the Rock." Saturday night the entire band was treated to the Broadway Hit "Lion King" at the Minskoff Theatre.

On Sunday, the group had a chance to see the sites and sounds of New York City. Following a trip to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty, the band enjoyed a bus tour of much of Manhattan, including Central Park, Lincoln Center for Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall. Sunday evening the group traveled back to Times Square for shopping and dinner at Planet Hollywood.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

On Monday, the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees performed in the Brick, New Jersey Memorial Day Parade, which included a short stand-up performance at the reviewing stand near the end of the parade. The band then ventured to Jersey Shore for lunch at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk before returning to Fairmont on Monday night.
