2019 Busy Bee Band marches in front of Carnival Liberty

Queen Bee Faith Palmer leads the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees off the Carnival Liberty and to Rawson Square in Nassau, Bahamas

Following the successful run of Follies 2019, the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees made their annual Spring trip this year to Nassau, Bahamas. Leaving on Wednesday, April 24, the band made their way to Cape Canaveral, Florida where they embarked upon a 4-day, 3-night cruise on the Carnival Liberty.

While aboard the Liberty, the band members were able to take advantage of all the amenities of the luxury liner, including 2 main pools, 3 hot tubs, a 214-foot water slide, on-deck basketball, miniature golf, volleyball and table tennis. There was plenty of room for sun-bathing or just watching the feature movie playing on the Lido deck. And if the students preferred food, there was plenty to choose from, including two 24-hour restaurants.

When not lounging and eating, the band made their way to Rawson Square in Nassau to put on a Command Performance for the local Bahamians and other guests visiting the island. The students then had time to tour the local island before returning to the ship for a day of fun at sea. On Saturday, the group performed in the Venetian Palace for their final performance on the trip before enjoying the rest of the day at sea.

On Sunday, the band debarked at Cape Canaveral and took the short one hour bus ride to Orlando, Florida where they spent the day enjoying Universal Studios and watching the unforgettable Blue Man Group before returning to Fairmont on Monday.
