BUSY BEE BAND & HONEYBEES

Pittsburgh Steelers Performances

Beginning in 1978, the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees provided pre-game and halftime entertainment for twenty-one consecutive years for the Pittsburgh Steelers at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  No other band from the State of West Virginia can make such a claim as the East Fairmont group.  The band has performed in front of hundreds of thousands of Pittsburgh Steelers fans, including the 1998 AFC Championship Game and two AFC Playoff Games.

Following the demolition of Three Rivers Stadium, and due to rule changes from the NFL, the band took a hiatus from Pittsburgh before returning after 16 years for their first performance at Heinz Field.  On December 28, 2014, the group was again featured to provide halftime entertainment to sell-out crowd of over 65,000 in primetime as the Steelers hosted the Cincinnati Bengals, which was nationally televised by NBC.  The group performed for their second time at Heinz Field in 2016, as the Steelers hosted the New York Giants.
