The 7th and 8th grade band and choir programs at East Fairmont Middle School performed 2 concerts in the gymnasium of EFMS on Tuesday, May 28th. The band portion began with the combined groups playing “America, the Beautiful.” The 7th grade band selections included “1812 Overture,” “Pep Rally Rock,” “Soul Rock,” and “Smoke on the Water.” The 8th grade band entertained the capacity-filled auditorium with “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” ”Atlantis Overture” and “Stray Cat Strut.”
To conclude the show, members of the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees joined the 8th grade band for a rousing rendition of the group's signature song "Swingin' Chariots." We look forward to seeing the 8th grade students as Freshmen in the Busy Bee Band next year. And the 7th grade the following year. Terrific work by the EFHS Class of 2023 and Class of 2024.
